This series of photographic prints juxtaposes images of natural forms with military artefacts and architectural remains, documented at the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico, where the first atomic test occurred on July 16, 1945. Established during World War Two, White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) is a military range that continues to support missile development, tactical and weapons testing for the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force. It is one of the largest military facilities in the United States, covering approximately 10,000 square km.

Each of the compositions illuminates different aspects of the land on which the test was conducted and the evidence left in its wake.
